Media Technician at the Swedish Parliament Administration

The Swedish Parliament Administration is an authority tasked with facilitating the work of the Parliament. Approximately 700 politically neutral employees work at the Parliament Administration with many different types of tasks. The Parliament Administration and the Media Production and Conference Technology section are now looking for someone who wants to work with live broadcasting of TV productions, press conferences, seminars, and committee meetings, as well as being involved in the development of the operations and our technical systems.

Your Responsibilities

As a media technician, you will work with live broadcasting of TV and web TV. The broadcasts occur in conjunction with all public debates in the chamber and committees, as well as during seminars, state visits, and similar events. As a media technician, you also provide technical support during conferences, remote meetings, and video documentation. You will also act as a technical advisor for individual events.

In your role as a media technician, you will both participate in and lead production teams responsible for executing and ensuring the quality of the productions. You will also support the technical team as needed with maintenance and development of our technical systems. You will continuously need to deepen your knowledge of the systems you work with, develop working methods, and contribute to the design of new technology.

The work is partially performed in the evenings, and weekend work may occur.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone with post-secondary education in media production or media technology, or other equivalent education or experience. You have good knowledge of and experience with media technology and have previously worked in professional environments with video and audio production or in larger conference contexts. Furthermore, you should be accustomed to working with live broadcasts and be able to plan and organize your work before, during, and after a live broadcast. You have experience with editing and file management, and preferably also with media management systems. Knowledge and experience with IT and networks are advantageous.

Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities, as much of the work is performed within different teams. At the same time, you need to be able to drive your own projects, be meticulous, and have administrative skills. The work requires a strong sense of service, commitment, and quality awareness.

The position is classified in a security class, which in this case requires Swedish citizenship and a successful security clearance. We welcome applicants with diverse experiences and backgrounds.
